        Alright looks like there is alot of interest in the flanges. So what I will do is quickly make a 10 guage flange for Brad to bolt to his head and confirm the fit then I will cut up a 4X8 sheet worth of flanges and sell em off.

          Ok, I just assumed 1 5/8" primaries, but Geoff thinks that's too big. So he posted a poll as too what size primaries everyone would prefer. Vote and I can change the drawing if need be...

            No No I never said it was too big. But headers for the S-10's on the market are all 1 1/2 so i figured that would be the going size. But really whatever you think is the best for the torque curve is the magic number

              All the headers (Gen III) I have "seen" are 1 5/8 (at 14ga)... Are you going to do flanges for the Gen II heads as well?

                I don't think 1-1/2" primaries will be large enough to clear the gen3 ports. I wouldn't do anything smaller than 1-5/8"

                  Ok 1 5/8" it is. Should Brad draw the flanges with a round opening or D shaped like the heads?

                    I say round, that way they will fit 2.8/3.1/3X00. One flange for all.

                      I'll be grabbing a set as well as soon as I score a decent welder(got money just waiting for the right unit for the right price heh)... What materials will be availible.... mild steel and or SS???

                      4.0L(after bore 3.917 and stroke 3.3485),carrillo sbc rods(narrowed),wiseco custom forged pistons 8.5:1 CR, TCE Double Roller timing chain, gen 3 cam, P&P heads, headers 1 3/4 primaries into 3-1 collector, and going to run ms2.

                        You should run a TIG for this.. exhast looks beutiful with a tig.. I am makin a set of headers rite now too.. im gunna TIG the bitches.. make em look fancy, all else failes a good arc weld can be sexy looking too.. im not a fan of the mig tho, you cant get a weld with some charicter.. they look like a roll of fine wire.. instead of a roll of nickles(TIG)... Im going to make my headers with individual flanges tho.. like 6 of them.. not like a one peice..

                            The verticle spacing for the bolts are different on the older generations unfortunately. I found this out the hard way...

                              I was unaware of this. I was lead to believe that the spacing was the same. Well, screw the genII. Everybody know its dieing out. :P

                                Only the Gen1 heads had a different bolt spacing. Gen2 and Gen3 are the same.
