Can an alternator be run CCWise as well as CWise? If yes, do electrical changes need to be made? What changes? Are there any electrical or mechanical problems to consider?

Ahh yes good point. I dont know this for sur but I though some Chrysler engines rotated counter clockwise. Maybe a fan from one world work. Or go and steal one off a marine engine since a boat with 2 smallblock Mercs in it will usually have 1 as reverse rotation.Originally posted by The_RavenThe problem with running them backwards is the fan is not set up for reverse rotation and will need to be changed with one that is, expensive to do.1993 EXT. (Most) Honda engines spin in reverse though. But use small ass alternators.
Also the Twin engine boats, not all use a reverse rotation for one engine, and besides, any that have, that I have seen use one alternator to feed both engines.
