Did you have the heads resurfaced/milled? The machining pattern on the head looks to be irregular, like a sanding/polishing wheel was used with a hand grinder instead of a head resurfacer. The ports look nice.

The heads haven't been to the machine shop yet. I will have them resurfaced when I have the valve job done.

Are you planning to have them just resurfaced, or mill them a little more to bump compression?

Marty-My origional plan was to build the engine with ~8.5:1 so it would be turbo freindly. I recently aquired a 1990 300ZX Twin Turbo so that satisfied my FI dream. I am now leaning towards a high compression NA engine since I already have a turbo car and I would like to build a highly tuned NA engine. My goal is to get over 200 RWHP. It would be nice if I could achieve an even 10lbs/HP (at the crank) but I don't think that is possible NA. If anyone has any ideas on cam/valve/spring/piston/header please let me know.
