ok not really many people could help on moons site so i thought i'd try here. i'm told that the 93+ fuel pumps and tanks are different then the previous years and that there is no walbro available or anything. so am i pretty much going to have to resort to swapping to a olderstyle tank?

phase 2 fuel pump differences?

That's the 93' pump. That's a Fuel bucket style pump. the 93+ tanks don't have baffles in them. Instead, they use a fuel bucket and the pump sits inside the bucket.
The pump has 2 outlets. The tiny one supplies pressure to a venturi system that sucks fuel into the bucket, keeping the bucket full at all times. The other outlet of course supplies fuel to the motor.
The choices are
1. Buy a warlbro pump, drill a small hole in the top of the pump housing, attach (thread or glue) in a nipple for the small venturi fuel line and go.
2. Buy a pump already modified by http://www.racetronix.com
3. Swap to a earlier tank, with the standard fuel pump "Stick" and baffles. You will have to redo the lines on the chassis to fit with the older tank. You will also loose 2 gallons of fuel capacity and I'm not sure, but the older tanks have a slightly different shape to clear the exhaust.
4. Use a standard warlbro pump, cut open the bottom of the fuel bucket, and never let the car get below 1/3 to 1/2 a tank of gas.
5. You could use the fuel pump from say a higher stock HP GM car, like a Vette or Camaro. I'm not sure the difference in flow, though.

i have no idea what the pump looks like or how it differs from the older style so i am going blind here. never really looked at a fuel pump either.
how does pump #1 differ from #4 on your list? both walbros
could a stock vette/camaro pump support 3-350 h/p
i'd attempt #1 it sounds easy but have no idea what i'd be doing.

#1, you modify the actual pump, so it will correctly work exactly like the stock pump inside the fuel bucket.
#4, you cut the fuel bucket so that you can use an unmodified pump, but since the tank has no baffles, the fuel will slosh badly and starve the pump if you let the tank get below 1/3rd.
I'm not sure how much HP a stock pump would support, but I would assume something close to what the car produces.

The easiest solution would be to buy the pump from Racetronix, but I believe the list it at 250 bucks and the standard warlbro is like 100.
The cheapest would be to modify the pump yourself or swap to the older style tank, but both would require more work. If you can find the flow info on the stock pumps, that might also be the best option, like the flow for a stock LS1 Camaro, etc. You could probably even find those used on ebay for almost nothing.
I'd probably look into the various stock pumps first.

Walbro makes a highoutput pump for the 90 series camaro that I used. I believe it was a 255 ho. If you wan the excact model number I can get it but it is a bit tricky to install. You have to almost take the entire bucket assembly apart without breaking the little plastic tabs.95 Beretta Z-26

If that pump doens't have the 2 outlets on top, it's just a standard pump like for the 91' Cavalier. You need a pump with the dual outlets on top so you can retain the stock fuel bucket crap.

The standard pump has the single outlet. The pump you need to directly replace the stock pump has 2 outlets. The standard size going to the fuel rail and a small (1/16" I believe) that supplies pressure to the venturi system inside the fuel bucket.
So, no if it has the 2 outlets (like the racetronix one), that's all you need.
