How important is it to put custom pushrods in. I have a 3400 block with flat tappet cam and 3400 heads. I put in the 3.1 pushrods and haven't seen a problem with them. In fact i took them to my engine builder and he said they were okay to run. How much hp am i losing by using these if any?

Well thats fine the geometry will be stock like a 3400. But you should at least verify your preload with a dial indicator. Should be between .020 and .0601993 EXT. CAB, 3.4L V6 TBI, 5spd manual. Sonoma

i needed custom ones when i switched over to a 3100 block and still used a flat tappet camI Like V660s
