ok i wanna marry an mt2 to a 3400 (DOHC) is it possible and how hard? any info is helpful im at square one, and since im not gunna run out and purchase both of them and try i am here -thanks

Note the 3400 is NOT the name for the DOHC. The DOHC is called the 3.4 DOHC. 3400 is the name of the 3.4 liter pushrod engine.
The MT2 RPO code was used twice.. are you referring to the F40 6-speed or the MT2 Isuzu 5-speed?
The Isuzu bolts right up. You just use the Isuzu throwout bearing and any clutch and pressure plate for a FWD car with a Getrag 282.. e.g. 1991 Cavalier Z24, Beretta GTZ, etc.
The F40 bolts up but you need to work out something with the clutch and flywheel. It HAS been done, with an OHV motor. If you could figure out what parts were used to make it work... it shouldn't be too hard. V8 Archie does sell a kit to hook up the F40 to any GM FWD engine with the 60*V6 bolt pattern.. but that's only meaningful if you want to do business with such a fellow.

yes i meant the 3.4l dohc and the 6 speed... im putting this setup in a fiero hopefully and i'll eventually wanna turbocharge it but for now i just need to do the engine and tranny. thanks for all the info tho its very helpful. also one other thing struck me; the drive axels might have to be frankinsteined from some other cars or something if the transmission is placed in an alkward way... :-/Comment

They have different ends than the Fiero ones. I don't know what you can use. You could just get custom axles.Comment
