Lol, kinda like that recent motorweek (shoot me now) clip on E85 fuel that had a random LQ1 in it.

I have a box from a Dayco timing belt with the LQ1 on it (pretty much the same pic on that link above, mystery coolant hoses and all). I've also got one of those R-12 to R-134a retrofit kits (one of the older boxes) that has the LQ1 on it. At least the automotive aftermarket parts manufacturers liked it for something...

Yeah iv seen the E85 video years ago before it was posted to this site. Made me smile. Wow thats funny to have printed that on a r-12 conversion kit. Speaking of that what years did the lq1 have r-12 I didn't think they did ever have it?

Anything pre 1995 had R12, so 91-94 LQ1's all had R12. 1995+ was mandated to go to R134a.

              R12 is pre 1994.

GM has a new refrigerant coming in 2013 also, and I bet they will make a retrofit kit for it. R134a hangs around for 13yrs and this new stuff hangs around the atmosphere for only 11 days. Pretty cool, maybe it will have huge molecules and not leak in my car.

Over $12K invested, and still its slow. Maybe thats because thats most all repairs. Don\'t knock the engine though, because thats the only part that has seemed to last.
