got to looking at the alternator mounts on the engine i have and the lower bolt hole looks broke to me but i just want to make sure it really is. heres a pic.

Just looked at my pics I had of when my engine was out. You can't really tell, but if you really look at it you can tell it is supposed to have a U shape.

Cast metal will fracture and have a rigid look across the fractured plane.
Hardened materials and most alloys stress and have fissures and discoloration along the brake.I am back
