    Any tips on engine & tranny removal?

    this topic has been covered before (search), but I will say it again....
    drop the whole sub-frame with the engine and tranny still there and easy to work on.

    I am pretty much alone on that meathod.
    95 MC Z34 Black

      he's parting his car out. otherwise i'd agree, this is how i swapped the 3.4 into my 94.

      pull it out the top.. just gotta remove the radiator and fans first to give room to wiggle it around the brake m/c

        yep, also have to do it on an angle. it has been my experience that 4 links is what worked for me. center the chain out and go 4 links to the passenger side so it comes out on an angle with the passenger side higher than the driver's side. makes it a little easier. also try removing the cross pipe too.
