just got home and i had my cars alternator changed today...now that its home i hear an engine knock. also my oil gauge fluxuates when i step on the gas...when i step on gas it goes up and let off it goes down...any suggestions?

and when the RPM go up the oil pressure should be going up - that's not a fluctuation. -
what does the oil pressure gauge read??? if the oil pressure is really low at idle then your probobly hearin a knock from the top end of the engine. valvetrain,lifters, etc.Comment

when i start it it doesnt sound that bad but when running its a lil more quieter then that...maybe low on oil cuz i have a leak under the car. i think its comming from my oil pan. iam not sureComment
