The belt was still on but a quarter inch on the side was chewed off... Still had tension on it.

Oh everything was tight...the engine was still in time as well with a bunch of tension on it! I dont understand why it broke unless it was just old.. I've never heard of that part breaking before....I got another bracket and the engine is running fine againLorenzo

Yeah the steel bracket will hold it up. but it will be lose and prob wont hold for long.
