my 3.4 v6 is barely starting, and when it does it is clicking like crazy(sounds liek popcorn popping) and i would like to know what it is, it was running a few days ago when my dad was driving it and it ran fine now this, i have been told it could be an oil leak from a plug where a distributor should go into the block because when i put in more oil it seems to die down and then come back later

Do you have an oil pressure gauge and if so what does it read? I'm not too hopeful....Lorenzo

Check and make sure you don't have spark plug bown out. Thats the closest sound to popcorn poping that I can think of. If some one put plugs in with the heads hot at sometime or another it's easy to destroy the threads.Comment

Ouch, that sucks..
Sounds like an oil pressure gauge and watching your oil levels should be on your list of things to do when you get another car!
