update : Tried a junkyard coilpack from a running vehicle, Still no spark.

Will be trying a brand new crank position sensor tommarow.

Gonna rent a compression tester as well.

will report my compression #'s tommarow

also, does anyone know the wire routing for the ignition system?
gonna try to trace my wires and make sure i have no break in the wires.

also i previously stated the tach did move when cranking the car, it does not move =(

i guess i got confused, The tach moves only when i turn the key to the on position for a slight second. When cranking the car over the tach stays dead still.

Hmm the mem-cal chip should have went into a secondary mode??

For some reason CAL set was not saved or recalled, the ECM didn't remember cylinder one TDC and bank learn and timing advance, your ECM may need a new mem-cal EEprom or attempt a reflash.

In other words, I would have your ECM checked.

It may test good but may not recall any faults or store intergers correctly, the little chip thing that plugs into the ECM may have a problem if you can not get codes or a SES light in normal run from the ECM when there is a known fault like pulling the IAT (intake air temp) sensor.
