Not without a PCM swap or a standalone controller for the tranny.

I look at the electrical connector on the top side, or front of the transmission. The 60 has 7 wires, and the 65 has like 14 wires.

And the 60 has a vacuum modulator by the connector and the 65 doesn't.

Guess what the tranny shop said the wrong tranny is in my car, reason why it wont work properly. He said even though it says 4t60E on the outside, it is different on the inside especially if the year of car is different. My car year is a 91 grandprix, i got one from the salvage yard of a 95, 96 olds cutty and put it in my car prior to taking it to the shop. The harness had the same number (7) of wires but the colors was different. I didnt think that would matter. Now the BIG three numbers on the bell housing is different from the original one and all but other than that, i dont feel it would have made a difference. So fellas, is he just f-ing around with me or is it true what he's saying, holla back.

Between 93-94, there were 4 different internal configurations for the 4T60E. So yeah, he is probably correct.
