    Part# for RapidFire Plugs

Does anyone know the Part# for the AC Delco Rapid Fire Plugs?

Even better do you know the Part# for the Rapid Fire Plugs that are two ranges colder for my 3.4DOHC 96 GTP.

    THanks

Did you know that you have to remove the upper intake to get to the rear plugs?

Not if you are willing to remove some weatherstripping and bend a little bit of metal.

I'm not 100% but i'm pretty sure that the upper intake covers them on the 96-97. even if the engine was out i don't think you could get them..

Since you can put the 96/97 intakes on the 91-95 I wouldn't believe them to be different enough to cover the spark plugs. That would be one extremely wide intake. I didn't read that his year car was a 96, the year and the type might matter because of engine placement in the engine bay. I could be wrong, but I know it worked on my 92 Z34.

The 91-95 spark plugs are easy but honestly i heard that the 96-97 cover them up...

from what i remeber you have to pull the intake to get the rears in the 1996-1997. My 95 i just rock the engine and set the park brake and walla. If i remember correctly rapid fire #12 is the plug. i would just run standard delco's or NGK's. No gain with the rapidfire if you ask me.

The 1996 UIM is much different from the 1995 and earlier.

you absolutely do have to pull the plenum on 96+, but it only takes 5 minutes once youve done it a couple times, esp. if you dont have to replace the UIM and intake arm gaskets.

I put Rapidfire 8's in my 3.4. The lower the number, colder the plug.

It went a little off topic there guys but I go the answer in the end.

Not too worried about removing the UIM as I plan on picking up a spare at the salvage yard and polishing it then maybe anodizing it before I install it.

Can I detach the neck and leave the Neck and TB in place when I remove the UIM?

I stand corrected. Does anybody have pics comparing the 2 intakes?
