Well if there is no way to get around the water box then definitely get some track tires. I don't understand why people are so hesitant to get a set of drag radials on a set of spare wheels? Remember .1 in the sixty is about .2 less in the 1/4. If you could cut a 2.0 sixty you might even hit a high 13. But I have never drag raced before so obviously I don't know what i'm talking about. Good luck.

If you drag race ten times a year, I'd say drag radials or slicks would be a good investment. If you go twice a year like me, it's not worth it.

Made a slight improvement in the new PB today. 14.329 @ 95.70 with a 2.08 60' on the same street tires. After today I have learned to cut a good 60' my tires need to be burned out. Tried to make two passes avoided the water box and dry hopping to clean the tires off, spun through the 60' both times.

Car sounds great. I had to cover my eyes during the burnout when the wheel stopped spinning. Images of the differential gears chewing through the pin were flashing through my brain. It looked like you fell hard after gunning it off the line, perhaps a little too fast off the clutch but once the RPM's were back up it was perfect the rest of the run. Great stuff, looking forward to more!

Yeah, it is just about impossible to avoid one wheel burnouts with the car. But the fact remains that car will not launch hard without one. On that launch my foot timing was off a bit and I floored it a bit to soon, it revved to 4,500 so I got out of it a bit till the clutch was fully engaged. I have video of a much better launch, but it was only an 1/8 mile run.

Well the other pass like I said was just an 1/8 mile pass, and it was me losing in the finals round or bracket racing that day. I suppose I could post it if people want to see it.

As far as that Kevwood guy, he ran a 14.8 something or other and he claimed he spun through the 330' or something ridiculous. Judging by his lack of posting to let us know about his progess, I'd say 14.8x is all we'll ever see out of that car.
LOL, I haven't looked on here in a while. Anyways, I don't quite remember spinning through 330', put it sounds good.

The car has been in storage for a year and a half, I moved from Canada to Dubai in the Middle East.

Regardless, well done Oldskool, well done indeed.
