alright does anybody have a Getrag284 spare tranny layin around or know where i could get one and does anybody have any feed back on that 95 to a 96 intake swap and its gains and falls and if its just best to keep my manifold and just P&P it.

I say use a getrag 282 from a j-body. Theyre much more common and can be mounted from both sides instead of just at one end.. The only bad part is you would need custom parts to make it work..Originally posted by mn95gtp View Post

Well, a w-body to w-body 5speed swap would pretty much be a bolt in. A j-body to w-body 5speed swap would require custom mounts as well as minor mods to the shifter and possibly clutch hydraulics.
