Have you still not figured out how to use the site's CR calculator??

You would end up with a 3.0L with a CR of 8.06:1, if you used a 91-95 DOHC as your base.

AHA! i have figured out how to use the CR calculator, it took me a little bit but now i get it. such a useful tool-just so sad that it took me so much time to figure out how to use it!

I thought about doing this once. If you really wanted to go gung ho you can still get billet 2.8 cranks from the off-road racing days. Problem is the 2.8 crank is externally balanced and the 3.1 and 3.4 cranks are internally balanced, so you will have to account for that. I would use a longer rod to get the compression back and have a sweet rod ratio and a motor that could wind up to 9K if you could figure out how to oil it at those speeds.
