You use a degree wheel to set the angles... If you need specific measurements let me know,,, it's sitting right here in frony of me and I've got a pair of calipers handy!!!
Tom...
PS: Yeah you could machine a tool with permanent angles also... Just wouldn't be adjustable..Last edited by walterdude; 01-24-2010, 10:08 AM.

Wow, that one is shiny! Mine was painted black and I went over it with clear coat just to protect it even more.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.

A SHINY tool IS a happy tool!!! It was supposed to come with paint on it.... I even said he could paint it PINK or PURPLE!!! Don't know what happened.. One day I had a sheet of Emory Cloth sitting here and started messin' round... Oh, the things we do to fight boredom!!

Sorry for the delay... Without getting too fancy it looks like the adjustable arms are 3.550" apart. The flats on the tool that contact the cam-flats look to be 2.0"... The adjuster arms are made from .5" steel stock. The stationary part is .5" aluminum,,, unfortunately. Some of these tools (another GB) were made of ALL aluminum,, guess those wore out fast... When the group buy started they were going to be made of ALL steel,,, the machinist thought all aluminum... In the end we were lucky to get at least the high wear parts made of steel... And it took a LONNNNG time,,, many months..
Well good luck with this and post PICs!!

I'm not sure which version I have. Time to bust out the magnet, I guess. Worst case I hit my machinist friend up since mine has hardly been used at all and pretty much has 0 wear on it since the only timing job I did I set stock.-60v6's 2nd Jon M.
