Powerpoint as an attachment

So i discover Powerpoints are not friendly to use when attaching pictures. I only use this when i want to discribe the picture in a "text box" within the picture. Is there any other application i can use to achieve this task?

You can probably use just about any image editting software to add "comments" to an image, the easiest probably being MS Paint.
