Hi all, just purchased a 95 lumina ls 3.4 dohc,trying to learn as much i can about this engine,so far i got is its rated at 210hp and 220 torque is that right?The car has 131miles on it.What issues sould i look for.Thanks all

Hey and Welcome. I think u need to change yoru timing belt every 60k miles?? And the alternators tend to go bad a lot and are in a bad area to replace.

Welcome! If it starts idling high until it warms up and your brakes suck compared to normal, change the intake gaskets. The gaskets shrink, allowing air in from another place besides the throttle body making it idle high, and you don't get enough vacuum to your brake booster for your power brakes to work right. Oh, and don't use Bosch platinum plugs or Fram oil filters. The DIS doesn't like the Bosch plugs, and Fram oil filters just suck.

Thanks for the info.Also how many 95 luminas produced with the option package of rear spoile like the z34 monte,and buckets and console floor shift.
