    3.8 impala driving impressions

a co-worker has contracted me to work on his 2000 3.8 powered impala. after driving it home today i feel that it is under-powered with the n/a 3.8 (no surprise there) but for stock suspension i felt that it handles pretty good for what it is.

most of the time when i get ahold of a larger car built cheaply like that, the handling usually stinks. any1 else feel the same way about the impala's?

when i begin repiars tomorrow i will take a peak under this car and see what it is working with.

it must've been th els...impala's are good imo i mean i pull one in and out fews times a day.

one thing that trows me off is the steering the noise and how it feels.
yea i have to admit the 3.8 does seem a lil' bit under powered....since a 3100 n body can out run one.

Remember, an N-Body is hundreds of pounds lighter AND the trans with it has a lower FDR.

IMO i don't think the impala is built for that engine... L36 i think..even the PI 9C1 impalas are crap i've heard. I also think that its heavier.

I was going relatively fast thru a school zone and was caught. However, I managed to zip into a neighborhood and evade the cop. Could I get additional tickets by trying to run?
