Test Drove a CTS-V

Collin, just watch axle hop on those launches. Some forum the guys were already in the dealership for replacing axles. Both C&D and Motor Trend mentioned axle hop on launch hinder accleration times. The thing over heats the motor oil on the roadcourse too.

Yea I love it too. XLR is better though

Yeah but the XLR is 50 HP LESS, and its only a automatic, and it costs close to 30-40 K (canadian $) more!

i'd rather have the CTS-V than the XLR... we've got both a XLR and the CTS-V in the showroom right now.

Yea hopefull Caddical makes that V12 and puts it in the XLR and the Escalade

I love the new CTS styling, First car I would buy if I won the big lottery. I always thought the Catera was ugly, especially with that wierd reflective purple tint they put on the front windshield.

A ZR-1 was more than a new C5 when it was new... (maybe even more than a Z06)

Yeah, I think that if you want a car to put away as an investment, a ZR-1 would be a wise choice.

But I'm not a "car investor", even if I had the money... I'd have to drive it like it was meant to be driven.

ZR-1 = Coolest vette ever made!! DOHC V-8s are just too sweet, too bad they were limited production. If I remeber right they sold new for $65,000 - 70,000.

Yeah... ZR-1's were retailing close to 70k!!! The CTS-V is bad ass..... I'd almost buy one of them before the Z06..... ALMOST..... I think I remembered somewhere that Johnson Marine also helped GM on that with Lotus on the design/manufacture of the LT-5 DOHC 5.7....... Maybe from the first Need for Speed PC game?? They only had like 7 cars, but had full featured showrooms and history on the cars they had then.

NFS1 rocked man. Played that all day on the old Pentium 100mhz with 8mb of ram (later upgraded to 24)

That game also had sweet ass courses.
The LT5 was a killer motor. More cool factor than the LS engines of today.

I have NFS1, my old laptop still runs it. I think it was Mercury Marine. Johnson/Evinrude/Bombardier wasn't the one, I'm sure.

I wish I could get NFS1 to work on XP!

You're right, it was mercury marine. I remember now.... it was the same as my uncle's boat (Mercury 220hp on like a 21ft boat.... )
