if you have new concrete acid etching is all you need. you an shot blast, but you can save money by not wasting your time, mine has been good for 6 months now.
any new concrete that has been hand or machine finished needs to be profiled CORRECTLY to ensure a strong bond with the epoxy coating. i work in this field everyday, i think i know what im talking about
