I got my engine rebuild stuff today!

I took a quick inventory of what I thought I was supposed to have...WTF??? Where's my camshaft bearings and freeze plugs???? Those miserable mailorder SOBs!!!!
A look online at my order and....DOH...I forgot to order them
I was looking forward to putting the 3.1 back together and in the Camaro this weekend. Guess I'll have to put my V8 back together instead...wait a damn minute, where're the freeze plugs for that one? AAUUUGGHHH!
    My mind must be going....

Yeah, it's always the little things that screw with you. Good luck in whatever you decided to build this weekend though.

You can use SBC cam bearings on a 660. So steal the ones from your SBC and build the 660 . Freeze plugs can be found anywhere just goto autozone or whatever.

Don't think they have Autozones in Germany...

how many of them do you think would carry parts for a 60degreev6 ??

however Freeze plugs/core plugs should be a somewhat findable item over there i would hope or think....

take a measurement of the core holes and see if you can source some out that way

Right. No Autozones but plenty of Autobahn
American car parts are not as easy to find as you'd think. There is only one parts store "near' here...an hour away. We do have a GM dealer two cities away. But there's no gurantee either would have what I need and more than likely would have to order them also. Besides, with the dollar against the Euro exchange these days...forget it. I could buy six sets of bearings for what they want for one.
New parts on order...be here in three days.
