BMW builds a shape-shifting car out of cloth

By the sounds of it, it's only to change the look. Down the road it could mean adaptive aerodynamics.

i guess dents wouldnt show easily?? but this is old news. ive seen the articles and prototypes on this a couple years back.

If you listen to the interview with the guy in the vid, he said it was to spark creativity. Since it uses the space frame from the Z8 (I think) it doesn't need the sheet metal body for rigidity and strength. I personally like BMW's for the most part and think the concept behind this car is pretty interesting. I can't say I think this one is the best looking one they have made, but then again, not all prototypes look good no matter who built it. They aren't even going to produce any more of this car, it's going to their BMW museum in Germany.
