Damm door handles

I have to replace both door handles because both broke.is their a specific type of door handle that i could get that would be way stronger than stock?also how come they break so easy?(chevrolet lumina z34)any help is greatly appreciated

They are made out of pot-metal. I don't know of any that are stronger then stock, but that doesn't mean there aren't any, but then again, look at our aftermarket... A junkyard by me won't sell used ones, but has brand new ones in stock to sell people that need them. IIRC, they were $60 each.
