I think I'll pick up on of those 572's for the low low price of $12,000. Dealer near me also has an all aluminum 454 for $16,000.

Eh, even 720hp wouldn't make a 4000lb Caprice TOO outrageously fast.Originally posted by JasonZ34I mean, you'd have something like a topfuel car.Originally posted by RidgeRunnerWhat ya mean?Originally posted by JasonZ34You know... that would be an engine with a seat when you got done.

you looking at a 10 sec car if you can get 750 to the ground. That's pretty fast. Keep in mind however these engine show flywheel HP you'll lose 20-30% of your power from the flywheel to the tires. This is why you want to look at torque as well. You need torque to move mass.Eh, even 720hp wouldn't make a 4000lb Caprice TOO outrageously fast.

I have a 1986 Firebird TA t-top hatch-back with a 5.0L V8 HO 5-speed I rarely sit in it.
I am trying to pull the heads, but man it is a PIA. I got the drivers side out, but the passenger side is giving me a difficult time. The car sat for so long that the head gaskets were leaking and the valve seals leaked down alot as expected.
So thats why I am looking to replace the engine.I am back
