    w-body door handles

i went to my local chevy dealership today and ordered me a new drivers side handle/assembly($191) and the guy at the patrs desk told me that gm only has 9 of them left. i really don't know if this is completely accurate or not but i thought you guy's would like to know.

sounds like bullshit to me... besides if there are only 9 of them worldwide/in north amaerica, then all 9 of those are gone by today, guaranteed.

just a thought but after going through 2 of these stock door handles, wouldn't it have already paid to just to get remote door poppers?

I dont knwo what mine are but they've both lasted over a year. I think the drivers side is weakening... the screw that holds the panel is also stripped so thats a little lose on the drivers side.

I got mine for like $60 or something like that, but they are the same as the corsica ones...as well as I think every other 4 door W-body from 88-96. Actually a few weeks ago, I starting laughing when I saw a w-body door handle in the "help" section at the autoparts store. I think it was like $22 or something....I just found it kind of odd that it was the only door handle they had... If you can't find one, I could probably pick one up pretty cheap and ship it to you...I don't remember the exact price, but I think it was around $20-25.
