Yep ASG 5.0L .. warmed over Caddy 4.9L .. he post on w-body .. the 4.9L basically bolts on .. but ASG stopped production on the 5.0L and no longer makes kits

Um that thing has TBI injection. I would say he went backwards when chosing that engine.

Um yea. TBI is good for trucks making torque. But they were never known for their prize winning numbers.

The 5.0L he has was "dynoed" at 285hp/ 295lbs compared to the Caddy 4.9L which had something like 200hp and 275lbs .. The website tells you about it .. They stopped production due to a "lack of sales"! ..
That motor is all low end (4.9) and is NOT meant to be beaten on like the LQ1 ..

I also believe I heard that a W-Body with that ASG 5.0 still ran in the 15s for 1/4mile .. and for $6grand$ or so .. I would definately want more!

There is not a single thing that I like or respect on that car.

Yes, I still have the video of him getting beat by a 3.4 5-speed at the track. He ran like a 15.4, the 3.4 a 15.1. It wasn't his car, but another ASG Lumina. A guy that drove it said "it is really weird to drive a Z34 auto that will smoke the tires effortlessly..."
