Ok well, firstly my dad got a new dremel for chistmas, so i thought to myself, "Im going to use this to cut open my presents", so i got it all set up, put a cutting wheel in, and went to a plastic case... Halfway through the wheel decided to shatter, it sliced my wrist, another chunk hit me in the neck and another chunk managed to burn a nice neat moon into my arm, so i have one of those fancy new tattoo's that are raised... Word of advice... Dremels are not made for cutting cardboard/plastic... Do not use the diabolical tool that is a dremel without saftey goggles and a full length anti-everything protective suit.

strange.. the only time ive had a cutting wheel shatter i was cutting my old shock off my car and they were really shitty wheels, and ive used a shit load of em.... my t-top conversion required that i do a lot of cutting in tight areas3.4L camaro some goodies -

I try to use good disks. The fiber type hold up well. I have had the cheap kind come apart before(the kind that comes with a Dremel) You dont have time to duck.2004 Grand Am GT 3400 ... I had the right to remain silent, I just didn't have the ability.(Ron White)Comment

I say throw away all those shitty non-reinforced cut-off wheels. They are WAY too dangerous. Go and buy the fiber reinforced ones. I have destroyed those but never had one shatter. They are much safer and last a hell of alot longer.
