Engine/Trans out, what should I do?

I pulled my engine (already rebuilt it) and trans (I will have it done next week). I already replaced the heater core as I broke it removing the engine. I will need new ball joints but those do not have to be done now. Anyone know anything I should do while these are out? Thanks.

Wash the engine bay. Clean the Coolant recovery tank. Clean the rad. Remove and paint any surface rust. If the old coolant pipes are bad replace them. Remove the battery and inspect the tay and below the tray for any acid leaks and corrosion. If there is neutralize it with a baking soda and water mix and then scrub clean with soap and water. Then sand and paint.
