Right now I have a cheapo torque wrench but would like to get something fairly accurate before I start ripping into my engine before the swap. Does anyone have any suggestions/sources for a good priced torque wrench that is accurate?

Get yourself a Craftsmen Clicker! They are (or were) around $60-80 but its money well spent. I have had mine for like 4 years and it still serves me well, very accurate. Buy the one that has the plastic holder, easier to keep track of. Also, after using the wrench, always decompress (unwind) the spring to keep it accurate.Tuning a car is full of compromises. You must decide if you are willing to give up either reliability, performance, or a whole load of cash. Also remember that repairs will seem to come up much more often as you strive for even more performance -
I currently 3 (or maybe 4?) Craftsman torque wrenches and have never had a problem with them. My dad also has 1 or 2 which I remember using ~13 years ago when I rebuild a 400SBC for my old Chevelle, and he still has it, and it has been through at least 2 more engine rebuilds.-Brad-

Got 3 Westward Pro Series "clicker" torque wrenches that work very well.
I've got thousands in Craftsman tools that I love as well. (No torque wrenches though)
I highly recommend both brands.

I just broke my good wrench and am also looking at the craftsman mainly cause of price. I mean crap, the snap ons and such are fucking outragous. BTW. Anyone of you have yours calibrated? I was taking mine to work and they were calibrating it till the ratchet part broke. Dont ask how the hell they calibrate it cause I dont know.2004 Grand Am GT 3400 ... Made in Canada? Can you verify that? I thought 99% of that stuff was made in Taiwan?
Don't get me wong, lot's of good quality tools are made in Taiwan, but I just find it had to beleive that they would be made here.
