Try taking 7.48 gallons of water and then take a 1' cube then pour the 7.48 gallons into it.
Tell me if it holds all the water within that cube.

For some reason I don't think it'll hold it all.... If it works for you, post pictures please.

That is the funniest thing I've heard all day. I'm sure he'll run right out and build an EXACT cubic foot box and check for you. LOL

Just thought of something. A gallon is 3.8 liters. GM's 3.8 is 231 CID. If you take 12 ^3 = 1728, and divide that by 231, you get 7.48. A 3.8 Liter engine would only hold ONE gallon of water. That's 231 cubic inches. So, to test the theory...wait, I've lost what I was thinking. I'm sure someone will figure out what I was getting at. Grr...I don't like Mondays.

                      1 gallon [US, liquid] = 3.7854118 liter
1 gallon [US, liquid] = 231 cubic inch
                      1 cubic inch = 0.0163871 liter

                      231 cubic inch = 0.1336806 cubic foot

1 cubic foot = 7.4805195 gallon [US, liquid]

so now 0.1336806 cubic foot = 1.0000003 gallon [US, liquid]

Were back to where we started (close enough I think)

What was the question? Put water in a 3.8L and see if it will hold 1gal
