i gotta know, am i the only one that thinks the pontiac solstice is fucking sweet??

2890 lbs, rwd and a tad over 20k. 20080 msrp i believe. i usually hate most of gm's new cars but this one is an exception.

power isn't all that 177hp i believe but i hear rumors some1 has already slipped a ls1 into one.

although the 2k7 year will be the introduction of the gxp model featuring a turbocharged i4 putting out 260hp and 260 ftlb!!! get this all under 5500 rpm!!! gm is boasting 0-60 in under 5.5 seconds. those were corvette numbers back in the day!!!

the whole package with all the added options only adds about 100 pounds to the base car. i just hope the pricing is fair.


questions: how does the gxp model compare to the srt4 weight wise? any1 have any idea how these things are selling??

If I were you I would not even try to compare the Solstice to a an SRT-4. Because it is a POS. Glorified Neon.

I guess, but I'm not going to loose any sleep over it. But that doesn't change that is a POS. Maybe it is just me but when ever I see one of those things I just laugh.

I'd take my "slower" GTP over that peice any day.

It's still a Neon. I don't understand why people get all crazy over cars like this. All they do is bolt a Turbo/Blower on it and now it's a high preformance icon. Fuck, bolt one on my car. I guess that would make it the new coveted high preformance machine.

If it were something that were designed from the ground up to be a preformance machine. Then maybe I care, and will turn my head. But suping up a Neon to market to dumbass high school kids, doesn't earn my respect.

I THINK THE CAR IS SWEET,I HAS MORE OF A EUROPIAN LOOK THAN JAP.
I WOULD GET ONE,BUT I AM ONE THE MIDDLE OF CHANCHING JOBS AND INVESTING ON A BUSS. BUILDING(TIEING UP MY MONEY).THE MALLETT LOOKS GOOD AT 400 HP.I WOULD BE ABLE TO RUN ALL OVER THOSE JAP.CARS ON MY AREA.
