my bench is loaded with 20 year old auto paint and broken tools... lucky me because i have a bunch of 2x4 and particle board lying around.
i'll have to make sure my other vehicles are working properly to use as daily drivers, in case i need to go the hardware/auto store for something i don't have.

The problem with a less efficient turbo is that you are actually pushing less air. boostedrs had good results with the xs power turbo, but actually maxed it out. If you can spring the dough, look into the Gt series from Garrett. I have seen an article where nothing was changed on the car except for going from a t3/t4 hybrid to a GT hybrid and results were shocking.

As far as turbos being any better than a S/C could be argued until blue in the face - there are pros and cons to both systems.
A centrifical works alot like a turbo, except with the benifit of almost instant response and can be easily adapted to an intercooler.
To answer your question about the intercooler: Absolutely the turbos you selected will benifit from an intercooler. If you plan on pushing any significant amount of air into the motor (more than 5-6psi), you are going to need to cool the charge enough to run on pump gas. You have to remember the compression of gasses is going to cause heat which is a major enemy when taking detonation into consideration.

It's not actually a .46 trim, its even less effecient. I am the one who made the discovery about the fraudulant advertising and could dig up the actual measurements of the compressor wheel. I bought the same one as boosted, dissasembled it, measured it, and had to calculate the actual trim.
