Don't buy without asking extensive questions first, that's very cheap for a new turbonetics BB turbo. I'm currently involved in a dispute over one on ebay due to misrepresentation. While doing the research before filing my claim, I discovered that BB turbos are not remanufactured at least that's what I was told by Turbonetics when I gave them my remaned turbo's tag number and asked if it was BB. It's a nice Garrett unit but it's not BB and even worse it's not a 60-1 either. If it had at least been that I wouldn't have been too upset but it was clear after the fact the seller needed cash and had a turbo that was not nearly as popular or valuable as what he actually listed it as.

Turbonetics quoted me about $700 for a remaned journal bearing 60-1 last week so I would be very suspicious of that add especially since there is no picture.

Ebay carries risks but as long as you cover yourself by insisting on insured shipping and selecting items that are covered by Paypal you should be okay, otherwise you can seek a charge back through your credit card provider if necessary provided the transaction was truly fraudulant.

Otherwise Ebay is an excelent place to get a great deal. So far I could not find a single name brand Garrett/Turbonetics ball bearing turbo for under $1100 and the two BB cartridges I found from Garrett were both $899 ea. Not saying it isn't possible the ad is correct but that it is suspect given the realistic value of what they are offering. Just call first.

It's a clearance turbo so don't wait too long if you plan to buy it.
