    building a 00+ 3100 for boost

Im currently building a 2003 3100 engine for boost and have heard that the stock internals with forged pistons will support 400hp, is this true? and would TRW forged pistons suffice for 400hp? I using a gt32 turbo i already have and a air/water intercooler... Hoping that I can use the TRW forged units cause I found a good price and Im going to upgrade to LS1 springs and retainers and probably ferrera drilled valves.... would this setup suffice for my 350 to 400max HP goals?? and is there any difference between the 00+ 3100 and 3400 topends or is the swap only for older engines???

The 00+ 3100 and 3400 topends are identical.

If they are forged, they should be strong enough.
