They didn't. They made GT sedans in 94 and 95 but the owner claims this car is a 96 and they didn't make them in 96. In fact no sedan got an LQ1 in 96, only in the GTP coupe could you get it. He must have the year of the car wrong.

Vin number says it's a '96. Tenth digit is T. It's got the badge and hood, and a clear picture of the engine. Eighth vin digit is X, was that the code for LQ1?
