Timing advance

I'd like to advance the timing slightly in my 1997 3.1 monte carlo. If the ECM controlls this will a service shop mechanic do this for me or can i do this myself?....Regards.....Tom

you'll have to pick up a tuning program like HP tuners to update the flash on the ECM if you want to make changes to the spark advance tables.

the tricks that they sell on ebay don't work, just an FYI
