diy tuning qustions

hey i was wondeing if anyone could answer the following quesions for me

what are the minimum requirments for a laptop to use freescan
what type of cable should i get for the aldl interface and where to get it
are all memcals the same other than the eprom

You really dont need much of a laptop. like a P1 200mhz should more than do it.

I use the Mastach ALDL cable and am happy with it.

I've been told the memcals are different because the "limp-home" chip is programmed differently.
