    Engine Service soon?

    Hello,
    I was wondering, is the "Engine Service soon" light the same as a check engine light on GM products? I'm dealing with a car that has this light on and I'm not sure if I need to try and pull codes or what? Lastly, can you pull trouble codes by using a jumper or do you need a scanner? Thanks!

              cel and ses should mean the same. That car should be fine to be checked at the local Azone for free since it is obd2. You cannot use a jumper wire on the obd2 system that I know of.. ??

                  Yup, OBDII, I didn't even pay attention to the year and where I was posting. I didn't know that I could get the codes pulled for free, Thanks a lot!
