    Removing a 3100/trans from a 1995 Grand Prix

I should be able to remove the trans/engine together through the top right? I don't have to get a lift and drop it?

It can be done through the top, yes. Some say it's easier to do it through the bottom. I've always done my engine swaps through the top and havent had too much of a problem. The master cylinder will have to be removed/relocated to have the space though.

It's also wise to remove the hood.

Ya. The hood is defiantly coming out. Needs to get some work done to it at the body shop.
