    The extra port (that I forgot about) could be plugged with an NPT pipe plug. Drilled and tapped to the appropriate size.

    A better solution would be to weld it.

    I wouldn't trust JB weld to close that hole and stay that way, after many heat cycles and pressure cycles.

        Well, it looks like we might not find out. I really want to see this done, but this isn't my truck...

        He's getting an 80k mile 3.4L, compression tested with warranty. I could probably talk him into buying my H-260-2 cam that I never installed too. Sticking with the old TBI style. It's easy.

              Now, I am still interested in this.

              How deep is the aluminum oil pan? I'm thinking a lifted Trooper with a diff-drop modification will have an inch and a half greater clearance for the oil pan (Troopers are IFS). Mine isn't lifted [yet], but many people who are looking for more power in the Isuzu community already have lifts.
