    chevy to olds v-6 swap

hey guys maybe some one can help on here,, i have a 97 monte with a 3.1 that is about on its last go around.I can get a 3.8 97 model olds motor and trains for nothing its a very low mile motor around 32 thousand still runs strong, car was wrecked but not in the front,I know that it would take some re-wiring to get it to run but as far as i can see all the connections are close to the same ,just a matter of relocating them.I was just wondering if the motor mounts and trans mount would be the same , far as i can tell there located in the same spots even on the sub frame..... any ideas.... will take advise...any and all is welcome

It is a completely different engine. It wont be a direct swap. If the olds is the same body design, meaning a W body like yours, then get the whole car as a donor and swap anything that is different. Keep in mind this still does not entail a pain free swap. For more info visit a 3800 dedicated site

this is a very difficult swap for anyone that hasn't played around with newer fuel injection. the bell housing pattern is the only thing in common with those two engines. besides the 3.8, 3800 are boat anchors. 60degreev6's rule.
