whats needed to mount the alternator lower on a 3500?

is the 3500 block the same as the 3400/3100? if so you can try out what we're currently attepting. Early 3100 motors had an A/C bracket that was part of the bog-bone bracing. We cut off the dog bone section and mounted it where the A/C sits on the 3400. You can get any 3.1L engine alternator (100 amp prefered), bring it to a shop and have the change the mounting plate to one that will fit the new bracket being used. What we're looking into now is getting the pulley to line up, sits inside a little so I'm going back to the shop and look for one that will work.
