2.8 / 3.1 te72?

Hi everyone,

I'm completely new here. I'm actually on TGO.

But, after I'm finished with my Trans Am I'm planning on getting something light and RWD to drop a 2.8 /3.1/3.4 into.

Has anyone on here ever swapped one into a TE72 Corolla? Or an FB/SA RX7?
I saw the E30 thread on here already.

Also, why is it exactly that a carb manifold form a Gen1 can't be used on 3x00 heads?
I know it can't be used, but, why specifically?

The ports on a carb manifold won't line up at all with 3x00 heads if you look at the two manifolds the difference will be obvious.
