Hi sappysel, I have a question about the fiero 2.8 engine. Can I install one in my s-10 pickup and use the carb from the old engine? Will I need to change the flex plate? The engine I am considering is from an automatic . and my truck is too. Thanks G. Smith in Ga.

no, it will not just bol it. the transverse mounted engines used different mounting boss's on the block for the left bank. you could make a custom mount for that.
you would be better off finding a rwd motor, itll just drop in. the best bet for power is the 3.4l in the camaro's (93-95)
