    3100 to 3.1 swap?

I have a 1995 Cutlass Supreme SE with a locked up 3100 and have access to a 1994 3.1L from a Lumina. What modifications am I going to have to make to the 94 or is it going to bolt right up? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Well, for starters, the PCM and wiring harness from the donor vehicle. Newer engines are pretty much backwards compatible, but you can't really run an older engine on a new PCM. There are a couple sensors (ie, the cam trigger, 24x crank trigger) that aren't on the old engine and thus will make your stock PCM throw codes. There are some other issues as well, but I'd say that would be the biggest issue.

Try looking for a 3400 to swap in instead...

Agreed. Go forward not backwards. A 3400 is pretty much bolt in and it will give you more power.
