    Torque steer

What can you do to reduce torque steer? My car seams to pull to the right under power. Is there a way to make it pull to the left under power? Maybe moving or modifying the motor mounts. Or maybe something else, i'm open to ideas. Thank you for your help.

i have 245 wide tires and poly engine mounts along with a front strut tower brace.... i can take my hands off the wheel and launch the car and it will go straight and true. no pulling at all.

I think torque-steer is caused by the different weight between each axle as one tends to be longer than the other. Or am I wrong on this?

tq steer has many causes. the fact that we have an open diff doesnt help much either. the different weights might play a roll too. also the tq'ing force of the motor itself as it is spining also excerts a tq'ing force on the car to turn. the reason why oldschool muscle cars lift up when you hold the brake and gun the gas. ( some of that is chasie flex too)

also like said warn bushings and bad alignment will also contribute to tq steer too.

replace all the bushings, worn tie rod ends/ball joints, and have the car aligned. axle length does play a roll, but im going to guess you have an auto and the axles are pretty close to the same length.

with my car i had almost no torque steer in it. i have good struts (kyb gr2) and sprint springs, poly controll arm bushings, poly inner tie rod bushings, addco swaybars. since i put the quad 4 tranny with the limited slip, when i drop the clutch (i launch on a 2 step at 3800rpm)the car heads right. its now a fight to keep it straight comming off the line.

My car on the downshift into first used to cause the car to almost change lanes to the right. The cause was a ripped in half upper mount.

homemade poly front eliminated my hop and helps it stick but it always spins the right tire.... the diff and the unequal axles are to blame IMO

i wore out a 60k mile garunteed tire in under 5k miles thanks to the right always spinning, best bet is an LSD and poly mounts and poly control arm bushings

ill agree with that. i have exactly the same thing, now i spin both tires and still go right
